Sarah Smith Education Foundation

The Sarah Smith Education Foundation (SSEF) was established in June 2005 as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization to raise funds in support of Sarah Smith Elementary School. Through the Foundation, parents and businesses, administrators and staff work together toward a common goal: excellence in public education. 

Mission 
The Sarah Smith Education Foundation supports the quality of education at Sarah Smith through strategic investments in curriculum and instructional programs that directly enhance our school’s mission of academic excellence for all Sarah Smith students. 

We accomplish this by providing funding in the following areas:

• Academic enrichment and supplemental curriculum materials not covered through the Atlanta Public School’s budget 
• Talent management that encourages teaching innovation and excellence 
• Systems and resources that support our school community 
• Cultural investments that promote a positive school environment
